David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known by his stage name Davido, is one of Africa’s most celebrated Afrobeat and Afropop singers. He was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, into the wealthy Adeleke family. His father, Adedeji Adeleke, is a Nigerian billionaire businessman, and his late mother, Veronica Adeleke, was a university lecturer

Although born in the United States, Davido was raised in Lagos, Nigeria, where he developed a passion for music. He later studied Business Administration at Oakwood University in Alabama before dropping out to fully pursue music. He later returned to Nigeria and graduated with a degree in Music from Babcock University in 2015.
